Our Mission

The mission of the Barrington Area Volunteer Connection is to create connections between Barrington area nonprofits and local volunteers for the benefit of the individuals, the organizations, and the greater community.

We will accomplish our mission by:

  • Providing a searchable online matching system calibrated to the needs and offerings of the Barrington Area nonprofits and the interests of the volunteers.
  • Offering practical leadership & volunteer training through our community leaders.
  • Facilitating myriad connections between organization and individuals, amongst organizations, and within the Barrington Area Community

BAVC is unique in that our focus is on the nonprofits that impact the greater Barrington Area and helping connect our local residents to those organizations. Additionally, our Advisory Board is available to help guide volunteers and nonprofits to find their perfect match.

  • Give you a sense of purpose and accomplishment
  • Provide you with new or additional professional or social opportunities
  • Help you develop new skills and gain new experiences
